Autumn
tonight slow river thoughts down at the Inn old blossoms too heavy to dance in the breeze when the birds have left and the people are as slow as stone the branches of the peach tree come in through the upstairs' window while I drink my wine the sun tries not to fall |
Winter (Book Ballads)
these books like leaves in Autumn
fall from my mind my Emperor thoughts naked in the luxurious snow I spill a little wine for the longing moon all these characters painted with the lives of sea monsters open-eyed in the deep thoughts inkstamped gallop away bookworms appreciate the words they eat Weave silk thoughts make others travel to trade for such treasure I put down my swan feather time to open the door I'll leave my tracks in the newborn snow |
Summer the short flight of blossoms
is wed with moth dances the buoyant moon is bed in a nest of trees laughter like a fierce sea deep in the down of now flown geese drinking reflections the summer rain falls into our wine wet fingers sticky in the full moon even our shadows are in love |
